A constellation of potentialities

The humanistic psychologist Carl Rogers (1902-1987) believed that in order to realise their full potential (i.e., 'self-actualisation') individuals needed to experience openness, feel accepted, listened, and understood.

People have different potentials, of course, but they all tend to fulfil them. When they are unable to do so, due to barriers and/or because they have lost or misplaced their sense of purpose, they will feel uninspired and unmotivated, which in turn can lead to troubled well-being. This could, for example, be the case of those feeling incapacitated and panicking due to previous "failures" and an uncertain future. Once their sense of purpose is re-allocated adequately they can start to experience a functional life again.

At Mind Prospect I guide my patients to regain their sense of purpose through bespoke and collaborative interventions that combine Hypno-CBT and Health Coaching.
